  Ultimately I got a very good car, though at a highish price, with a three month warranty for main things only. I have had the car a month and it has been superb. Buying it, though, was a tortuous process. I said I would have the car on the Monday, was told it would be ready on the Wednesday, was then told it would be the Thursday. I spoke to the salesman Thursday morning to make sure it was absolutely ready for collection as I lived a good distance away. 'Yes, car ready to collect'.
  Arrived there Thursday lunchtime to be told it would not be ready until the next day, so had to return home without it, a six hour round trip. It was ready when I next went up for it, but I am concerned that, whilst one of the salesmen was very honest with me, one was not - the car was advertised as having air conditioning, which I forgot to check if it was working on my first visit. Phoned up salesman - 'Is air con working?' 'Yes, working fine.' After I bought it, found the car didn't have air con at all. It was a convertible, so that is not much a problem, but it was symptomatic of the lack of honesty which was evident in other things - the car was advertised as having full service history, which I took their word for, but found after I had bought it that it only had part history.
  
  My advice to the salesman who was not honest with me - take a big leaf out of your colleague's book and be honest with people. I know you are a used car salesman, but honestly, honesty is by far the best policy - for example this review would have been five stars and brief and glowing, whereas it may make people wonder, should they trust you? Basically, in my experience so far, this is a decent, friendly car sales firm, who need to get their act together more.
